Introduction to Solution Focused Brief Coaching

October 28, 2021

SFBT is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. In the most basic sense, SFBT is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change (citation link: https://solutionfocused.net/what-is-solution-focused-therapy/). Participants will increase their knowledge on the history, philosophy, format, and structure of SFBT. This interactive session will also include video examples, role playing, and practice/training with video feedback.

This education is geared toward paraprofessionals, non-behavioral-health health care professions, and other professions working to motivate and engage people through their work.
