Objectives

  1. Discuss the epidemiology of pediatric thrombosis in hospitalized patients.
  2. Define available evidence for risk factors associated with development of pediatric thrombosis.
  3. Discuss available evidence for risk assessment models for prevention of pediatric thrombosis.
  4. Discuss real-world assessment of these risks with review of institutional experience over a 3-year period.
