AODA: Examining Intervention Techniques
This program will examine evidence-based treatment intervention and services that will help clinicians effectively treat those patients presenting with substance disorders.
Target Audience
The program is aimed at psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and other allied health professionals who deal with mental health issues and addiction medicine.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Explain how to support patients in the recovery process when they are "stuck"
- List 3 ways to approach active substance use in an outpatient setting using evidence based interventions such as MET and CBT
- Describe effective ways to build an outpatient practice focused on substance use disorders
