A Case of Acute Weakness: Not a Stroke...an Exercise in Thought Recorded Session

Not all neurologic cases will present as stroke. This session will provide information in how to triage phone calls for neurologic cases and provide some neurologic pearls. A case presentation will be discussed to build knowledge on diagnosis and treatment for non-stroke related case.

Target Audience

This course is intended for all physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Assess diagnosis and treatment decisions to improve patient outcomes
  2. Discover when it is appropriate to use TPA as a treatment option
  3. Apply key components how a patient presented to assist in determining diagnosis and how to treat
