Program Overview:

Patients with Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome (AWS) are commonly encountered in the ICU. This independent study serves to keep learners up to date on the latest evidence-based practice in relation to the nurse's role in the management of patients with AWS.

Overall Objectives:

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Identify at least one strategy to manage patients with acute alcohol withdrawal syndrome after reading the article
