Current Practices in Wound Care

This course will familiarize participants with wound assessment and treatment capabilities in the Northern IL PSA.  In addition, it will review current best practices for wound care.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for all physicians and nurses involved in caring for patients susceptible to development of wounds requirement assessment and treatment including hyperbaric oxygenation.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Apply current best practices in the assessment and treatment of complex wounds. 
  • Review appropriate steps about the assessment and treatment process, setting appropriate expectations with patients.
