Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

This presentation will explore Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and explore ways in which clinicians can implement DBT tools into individual sessions.

Target Audience

This course is intended for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other allied health professionals who deal with mental health issues and addiction medicine.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify key components of the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) model
  2. Demonstrate how to use DBT tools in individual sessions, including the use of a Diary Card
  3. Explain patient symptoms, diagnoses or presenting concerns in which DBT would be an appropriate intervention
