ECHO Autism in Primary Care MOC Part IV Project 2022-2023

If you need MOC Part 4 points recorded in 2023, please complete and submit the project and your attestation by November 30, 2023.

The purpose of ECHO (Extension of Community Healthcare Outcomes) Autism in Primary Care is to improve primary care clinician self-efficacy in the early identification and screening for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as management of ongoing co-occurring conditions including but not limited to sleep, feeding, behavior, safety, and access to community resources.

By actively participating in ECHO Autism and engaging two Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA)* cycles, you are eligible to claim MOC Part IV credit. Click here for more information about how this project will be recognized by your certifying Board. Active participation includes:

  1. Actively participate in the project by attending at least 14 ECHO Autism sessions; 7 sessions in the first PDSA cycle and 7 sessions in the second PDSA cycle. To register for ECHO Autism in Primary Care Teleclinics and the ECHO Autism curriculum CME, please email ACH-ECHOAutism@advocatehealth.com
  2. Present at least one case for the ECHO Autism in Primary Care teleclinics.
  3. Regularly engage families in discussion about ongoing co-occurring conditions.
  4. Complete PCASE: Primary Care Assessment of Self-Efficacy three times: once at the start of the project, once after the end of the first PDSA cycle, and once at the end of the second PDSA cycle.
  5. Register on this site and fully complete the attestation form. You will need to provide your NPI and your Board ID numbers.

*PDSA is shorthand for testing a change by developing a plan to test the change (Plan), carrying out the test (Do), observing and learning from the consequences (Study), and determining what modifications should be made to the test (Act).
