ECMO Class
In this 8 hour event the presenters will host a lecture via PPT, and provide a spiral bound ECMO manual of ECMO anatomy/physiology, patient complication, and nursing management examples to engage team members in participation. The class will be didactic and offered on Nov 1, 2022. There will be multiple presentations from SICU attending, and CV NP. Team members will work through the ECMO manual, discuss case studies to connect major points about machine parts and complications, and perform a post-test with 80% passing required at the end of class.
Desired learning outcome
All learners will demonstrate knowledge of appropriate management and response to lethal complications associated with ECMO therapy by passing a post-test with a minimum score of 80%.
