Learning Objectives

  • Identify and incorporate ethical practices and considerations into remote work and virtual communication with patients and families.
  • Evaluate our practices to ensure appropriate boundaries are established in the use of technology and telehealth.
  • Assess and manage patients’ ability and limitations in utilization of technology and recognize confidentiality considerations.
  • Participants will review the NASW Code of Ethics and address specific standards relating to privacy, confidentiality, and others in social work practice.

Vincent M. Withers, MSW, CAPSW, CMFT

Vincent Withers, has his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from UW-Milwaukee and a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) degree from Family Training Therapy Institute. Vincent has several years of social work experience to include Child and Family and Behavioral Health Social Work. Vincent also received his certificate as a facilitator in Conflict Management for Health Care. Vincent is currently manager of Social Service Navigation for AAH - Aurora Family Service, managing their Public Benefits Connection and Coverage to Care programs. Vincent is notable in achieving the Aurora CEO Impact award, Quality Roundtable Performance Excellence Award, and Biztime’s Corporate Achievement in Healthcare Award as a result of his success and program implementation. Vincent sits on several workgroups and committees – Trauma-Informed Care, Advanced Care Planning, Social Determinants of Health, and Milwaukee Health Care Partnership Housing Navigation in addition to several others. Vincent has presented at several conferences to include the NASW, Healing Trauma – Healthy Communities, Aurora Health Care – Innovation in Quality Roundtable, and Aurora Family Service.
