This presentation will discuss the diagnostics, pathophysiology, and treatment strategies for invasive fungal and mold infections.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to

  • Identify laboratory testing for fungal and mold infections and use results for treatment-based decision-making.
  • Recognize the pathophysiology of emerging fungal and mold infections and why they are relevant for our patient populations.
  • Evaluate treatment courses for immunocompromised patients with invasive mold infections.
  • Compare available data for select antifungal medications in clinical trials to current guideline directed therapy for the treatment of mold infections.
