Learn. See. Do. Neonatal Simulation Series 2023
Learners will be able to see, touch, and perform activities in combination of instruction, simulation, and debrief related to neonatal nursing interventions of the infant with:
Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) and seizures
Gastrointestinal defect delivery
Pneumothorax requiring chest x-ray and chest tube
Each topic includes a 60-minute didactic portion followed by a 55-minute simulation which will focus on the application of evidence-based methods and current standards of nursing care, medications, demonstrating effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
You are only allowed to register/attend one date per topic.
Target Audience
This course is intended for AAH Nurses who work with sick neonates.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Apply evidence-based methods and current standards of nursing practice for improving care of the criticially-ill nenoate.
Provide medications accurately and safely.
Demonstrate effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration
