Medication Management for Chronic Pain Recorded Session

This session will provide information and tools for treating patients with chronic pain. Topics of this lecture include how to focus on treating the patient and not just their symptom(s), how to treat complicated medical and psychosocial factors, risks of chronic opioid therapy, factors on how to wean a patient off opioids, and examples of treatment based on pain. Real life case presentations and data will provide further education on the successes of treating patients with chronic pain.

Target Audience

This course is intended for all physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team

  1. Incorporate tools that will help diagnosis the source of a patient’s pain
  2. Explain how to treat complicated medical and psychosocial factors
  3. Discover non-opioid medications that can be used for treating chronic pain
