Solution Focused Brief Therapy: An Approach As Lasting As Diamond
This conference is being held virtually.
The Solution Focused Approach has often been described as one that is simple, but not easy. This is because developing the thinking that would lead towards using the techniques and questions of this approach can be challenging. One of the questions that people ask me often is if this approach works with those from marginalized communities. As a person of color myself, this question is a personal one to me and one that I address in my work. The answer is of course it does, but to go deeper and understand you must get trained in this way of working. This can be challenging for a few reasons; some of the biggest challenges are due to most of us being trained in a more traditional, problem-focused clinical modality. In this workshop the presenter will help you make that shift by showing you behind the curtain of this approach, so you'll have a more complete understanding of this simple and easy way of working, as well as be able to apply it in your work.
