Spirituality and Forgiveness in Family Therapy

August 12, 2022

The purpose of this seminar is to equip clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate spirituality into a clinical practice. Presenters will utilize didactic & experiential learning to enhance participant awareness, reflection, competency, and integration.  Participants will consider how personal narratives influence systemic relationships.  Special focus will be paid to religious injury/trauma, as well as the ethical considerations of managing practice challenges, and providing faith informed care. Models of therapy offered will be consistent with The Indivisible Self-Model of Wellness, Dr. Robert Enright’s Forgiveness Therapy models, Dr. Harry Aponte’s Person of the Therapist Training orientation, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, as well as the AAMFT, ACA, and ASERVIC Code of Ethics.
