Geriatrics for Advanced Practice 2021 Webinar Series - Geriatric Care for the Community and Beyond: Strategies for the Caregiver of Individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease

Geriatrics for Advanced Practice is a unique educational activity that is intended to enhance the knowledge and ability of advanced practice providers to be able to contribute to the health of a population and provide optimal evidence-based care for the high-risk population of older adults. 

Target Audience

This course is intended for Advanced Practice Clinicians NPs, PAs, Physicians, Nursing, and other interested healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Review challenging behavioral and psychological symptoms of older adults with Alzheimer’s disease including approaches to daily routines, medication management and sundowning episodes. 
  2. Describe practical approaches to behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
  3. Describe community and online resources to support family caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
