Neuroscience & Stroke Education Series: Stroke Mimics Recorded Session

This session is part of the Neuroscience & Stroke Education Series. 

There are many conditions that have similar symptoms to those of a stroke. This session will give you an understanding of what these symptoms are and how to distinguish a mimic from a stroke.

Target Audience

This course is intended for all physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Discuss & learn the pathologies behind various stroke mimics
  2. Distinguish stroke mimic vs ‘chameleon’
  3. Identify objective & subjective methods to distinguish a mimic from a stroke
  4. Discuss medical & financial ramifications of mimics
