You've clot to be kidding me! Evaluation and Management of Coagulation Disorders in Patients with Cirrhosis

This activity will provide information related to evaluating and managing coagulation disorders among patients with cirrhosis, through presentation of recently published clinical practice guidelines and an analysis of literature evidence.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to

•    Interpret laboratory parameter abnormalities often observed among patients with cirrhosis.
•    Evaluate the use of anticoagulation for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis among patients with cirrhosis.
•    Develop an anticoagulation regimen for the treatment of thromboembolism in cirrhotic patients.
•    Design an anticoagulation regimen for a patient with cirrhosis and comorbid atrial fibrillation.
