Overall Objectives:

  1. Identify ECG patterns of common electrical disorders of the heart or presentation of rare conditions
  2. Describe step by step approach to analyze a normal ECG pattern and identify abnormalities that can predispose to life-threatening situation such as syncope or cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, stroke, or adverse effects of medicine.
  3. Learn the assessment of ECG and potential limits and pitfalls in diagnostic workup and management decisions that could improve patient outcomes in similar conditions
  4. Recognize multiple aspects of specific conditions and management options to select for cost-effective way to improve individual patient outcome
