The impacts of climate change and health on our community has moved from concern to alarming among health care professionals. While it impacts us all – the health of those who have been historically marginalized will be the most adversely impacted.  Indeed, there have been numerous articles and news stories about climate change and health including an international call to emergency action from over 200 health journals. A proactive group of AAH health professionals has assembled to educate and activate our health care professionals to improve direct care to our patients. They have created this series seeking to prepare us to respond to the effects of climate on clinical conditions from the perspectives of air quality, rising temperatures, vector-borne diseases, and extreme weather.

Our emphasis will be on climate and our patients from a health equity lens (micro level) and touch on efforts in our clinical units (meso level) and within our organization (macro level - AAH wide).

Target Audience:  This activity is designed for advance practice clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, social workers, and members of the health care team who are interested in climate change and its impacts on health.
