Plous Family Lecture 2020 Recorded Session

The 2020 Plous Family Lecture will focus on racial health disparities and COVID-19.  This year’s lecture features a keynote presentation, panel conversation, and virtual break-out sessions. Some goals for this event include raising awareness about how structural inequalities influence racial disparities, and bringing diverse partners together to devise responses to this problem.

If you attended the Plous Family Lecture on September 10, 2020, you will not be able to claim credit again for this course. However, you are welcome to still watch the content.

Target Audience

This course is intended for all members of the health care industry (regardless of employer or role), members of the communities of which AAH is a part, and all AAH team members.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Integrate an increased awareness of health disparities related to COVID-19 into their clinical practice
  2. Utilize bioethical principles and values in assessing the role of historic and contemporary health inequities related to COVID-19
  3. Apply increased awareness and ethical learning in creating collaborative responses with diverse partners to COVID-19 health inequities
