Overview:
The complexity of evaluating and treating children with sleep disordered breathing requires an interdisciplinary approach. This program will familiarize participants with the pathophysiology and sequelae of sleep disordered breathing in children, the role of each discipline in care of these children, and how these disciplines can collaborate with each other.

This activity is designed for physicians, dentist and other healthcare professionals.

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Discuss the symptoms associated with sleep disordered breathing in children
  • Describe the spectrum of sleep disordered breathing
  • Explain the role of medical, surgical, and dental specialists in evaluating and treating children with sleep disordered breathing
