Treatment of heart failure patients with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is complicated by diagnostic challenges and complex pathophysiologies. Compared to HF patients with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), HFpEF patients are generally older and have increased metabolic comorbidities such as obesity, hypertension, and diabetes.

Advancements in disease pathophysiology, diagnostic tools, current and emerging treatment options may give clinicians additional tools to improve the outcomes of the disease.  This presentation will provide an overview of current and emerging resources and procedures designed to improve outcomes and lower hospital readmission rates in HFpEF patients.
