Objectives:  At the conclusion of this activity the participants should be able to:

  • Counsel families and other physicians regarding factors associated with climate change the will affect fetal and maternal outcomes grounded in evidence.
  • Explain the physiologic mechanisms underlying exposure to the airborne particulates that are increased as a result of climate change.
  • Plan how to advocate for the pregnant population as climate change creates disparity in pregnancy outcomes in underserved communities
