Sepsis Collaborative: Reducing Harm Associated with Sepsis 2020

Early detection of sepsis, with the timely administration of appropriate fluids and antibiotics, appear to be the single most important factors in reducing morbidity and mortality from sepsis. In high-income countries, this means organization of systems responsible for patient care, strong leadership, and an effective optimization of resources for prevention

September is Sepsis month. In honor of this, these webinars address the topics of 1) nursing’s role in identifying and escalating the rescue of the sepsis patient, 2) the experience of the patient and family with sepsis sequelae, and 3) the Thrive Program which deals with the post-acute / post-inpatient care of the sepsis survivor.
