October 27, 2021

Author Rana Awdish will describe her transition from doctor to patient who sees first-hand the impact of doctors’ language on their patients, and the impact of the mental barriers that they construct to protect themselves from their own emotions. Dr. Awdish will discuss her quest to improve training in emotional intelligence for all healthcare professions and offer suggestions to incorporate these ideas in medical training.
