CAM-ICU: Updates in ICU Delirium

Delirium is a prevalent condition seen in the intensive care unit setting that is strongly associated with poor clinical outcomes. This presentation will focus on ICU delirium and evidence-based methods for prevention & treatment.

This course is intended for Advocate Aurora Health (AAH) pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

  1. Recall four prevalent risk factors for ICU delirium
  2. Differentiate between ICU delirium subtypes
  3. Summarize current non-pharmacological recommendations for prevention and treatment of ICU delirium
  4. Choose appropriate pharmacological options for prevention and treatment of ICU delirium
