The course will discuss how to diagnosis patients that are sepsis, communicate effectively about patients that are sepsis, explain the concerns that exist with anchoring bias in relation to sepsis, and identify most common errors in relation to sepsis diagnosis and ways to avoid those errors.

This course is intended for all physicians and specifically for Pediatricians , fellows, residents, nurses, and medical students

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to diagnose patients in the spectrum of the sepsis disease process
  2. Formulate examples of anchoring bias and explain the concerns that exist with anchoring bias in relation to sepsis
  3. Identify the most common errors made in relation to sepsis diagnosis and integrate ways to avoid these errors into your clinical practice
