World Stroke Day Recorded Session

World Stroke Day is observed on October 29 annually to raise awareness of stroke as well as awareness of prevention and treatment of stroke. Stroke is complex and can cause some challenges when not treated in a timely matter. This session will provide education on the global burdens of stroke, stroke preventions and treatments, and COVID impacts. 

If you attended World Stroke Day on October 29, 2020, you will not be able to claim credit again for this course. However, you are welcome to still watch the content.

Target Audience

This course is intended for all physicians including generalists, neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, and pathologists, RN's, PA's, NP's, RTT's, and various other members of the health care team

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Explore the global impact of stroke and some differences seen around the world
  2. Describe factors that influence stroke incidence
  3. Recognize general approaches to the treatment of stroke
