The Narrative Medicine Approach

March 10, 2021

This conference is being held virtually.

This presentation will discuss narrative medicine which is a practice that encourages patients to share personal narratives with their provider to promote healing. The approach focuses on creating a connection between the patient and doctor through the sharing of stories and emotions. It is re-humanizing health care and increasing capacity for empathy and self-reflection.

This program will be recorded and posted online for ongoing viewing. Please turn your camera/video off if you do not want your image shared within the recorded video. If you have any concerns, please contact the CME Office at cme@aah.org.

Target Audience

The program is aimed at psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other allied health professionals who deal with mental health issues and addiction medicine.
