This is a 1 hour live class via the Teams platform for APHON chemo certified pediatric nurses that take care of pediatric new oncology diagnosis patients. During this class, we will cover the evidence-based education strategies  determined from an extensive literature search, along with an introduction to the COG KidsCare App, and a review of new diagnosis education topics.

Desired learning outcome

Using a Likert Scale, after participating in this event, the learner will have increased knowledge of evidence-based teaching principles to use with patients and families during new oncology diagnosis education.
