Patient Experience Simulation Lab 2022: 9/28/22

The purpose of this interactive experience is to create positive patient experiences through communication skills, compassion and best practices within a safe learning environment. This is a 4 hour simulation experience that includes role playing to demonstrate the patient experience tools and service recovery. This includes effective communication and personal interactions via use of: AIDET, Listen, Explain, Validate, Teach Back Method, Commit to Sit, Managing Up, Heart-Head-Heart communication methods, and integrate Service Recovery into applicable encounters. 

Desired learning outcome

Using a Likert scale, after participating in this event, learners will have an increased knowledge in communication as a tool to build trust and create an optimum patient experience.
