Human Values Forum - Fair and Equitable Allocation of Scarce Medical Resources: Lessons from the Pandemic

October 19, 2022

The Human Values Forum was organized in May 1979 to discuss and respond to the value concerns that confront and impact the delivery of health care on a daily basis.  Throughout the years, it has served as a forum for dialogue, discussion and debate about values.  Its role has been consultative and deliberative, and it has sought to elicit, not impose, moral wisdom.  It has also sought to facilitate a consensus on values issues when possible, and to point out when and why such consensus is not possible.

The 2022 Human Values Forum will feature Dr Ezekiel Emmanuel on the topic of how scarce resource allocation has changed because of the pandemic.

This conference is being held virtually.
