Advanced Topics in Evidence-Based Pain Psychology: Providing Effective, Ethical, and Affirming Care

December 15, 2022 to December 16, 2022

This workshop is dedicated to advanced topics in chronic pain management including ethical dilemmas in chronic pain, optimizing interdisciplinary collaboration when working with pain patients, managing comorbid substance use concerns, evidence-based psychotherapy alternatives to CBT for chronic pain, incorporating family members into therapy and providing culturally-responsive chronic pain therapy. The workshop will occur in two, four-hour sessions. During both portions of the workshop, the presenter will suggest techniques informed by empirical literature, treatment guidelines (e.g. Brown and Bruns, 2020), and the presenter's clinical experience. Case discussions and time for Q&A will be provided.

This conference is being held virtually.
