Prevention of PANDEMonium in the PICU: Updates in Pediatric Pain, Agitation, and Delirium Management

This course will be a review of the 2022 PANDEM Guidelines on pediatric pain, agitation/sedation, neuromuscular blockade, delirium, and early mobility in the ICU setting.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to

  • Identify differences between adult and pediatric assessment and management of pain, agitation, and delirium
  • Compare and contrast agents used for analgesia and sedation
  • Select an optimal pain/sedation plan for pediatric patients
  • List strategies for delirium prevention​​
