Under Pressure: Management Beyond Routine Hypertension
This educational presentation highlights the various therapeutic management approaches to drug-induced and treatment-resistant hypertension, in addition to strategies for enhancing adherence to antihypertensive drug regimens.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to
- Recognize the different classifications of hypertension, in cause and severity, including possible underlying etiologies.
- Design a rational drug-resistant hypertension therapy plan, taking into consideration guideline recommendations and patient comorbidities.
- Propose evidence-driven treatment strategies targeting likely etiologies of drug-induced hypertension.
- Identify when a fixed-dose antihypertensive drug combination may be appropriate to mitigate contributing factors toward medication non-adherence.
