Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD Clinician Training

November 19, 2021 to November 20, 2021

This conference is a two-day workshop, that runs on 11/19/21 and 11/20/21 from 9:00am to 5:30pm each day. You MUST attend both days to receive credit.

This 2-day intensive training will equip psychotherapy providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver Cognitive Processing Therapy, a structured, 12-session, evidence-based treatment for PTSD. Participants will have the opportunity to see CPT session examples, practice skills, ask questions, and receive constructive feedback. This course is designed to prepare providers to use CPT in their clinical practice and offer effective treatment to their clients with PTSD.

Target Audience

This course is intended for physicians, APCs, psychologists, social workers, nurses and other allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to assess PTSD symptoms and related conditions
  2. Explain the theory underlying CPT
  3. Use cognitive restructuring skills to address "stuck points"
  4. Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to implement CPT for PTSD
