2nd Annual Multidisciplinary Critical Care Symposium 2022

March 10, 2022

Now more than ever, timely and effective care of critically ill patients supersedes defined boundaries for patient care and often occurs in locations as varied as the outpatient clinic, the emergency department, and the inpatient ward.  While involving an intensivist in patient care ensures the provision of maximum critical care, the early recognition of evolving critical illness and initial management by providers outside of intensive care units profoundly impacts the success of further care provided in the ICU.  As hospitals across the world continue to deal with unprecedented census surges, many patients who would previously have been managed in the ICU are being managed in the non ICU settings.  Thus, a continued opportunity to reduce the time to recognition and initiation of evidence based critical care interventions by non intensivists persists.  The symposium will enhance participants existing ability to care for critically ill patients to further narrow the time to recognition of critical illness and the time to initiation of evidence based critical care interventions.

This course is intended for all Physicians, Residents, Nurses, Medical Students, Physician Assistants, and Pharmacists.
