13th Annual Pulmonary Hypertension Symposium—PH 2022: The Investigation. When to Suspect, How to Detect and What Comes Next?

This symposium was designed to provide an update on topics in the field of advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation and left ventricular assist device therapy. This conference also will educate cardiovascular disease practitioners on the latest insights into cardiogenic shock diagnosis and management along with updates in medical therapy for chronic heart failure.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify data supportive of achieving early diagnosis and describe the long-term impact of delayed diagnosis.
  2. Integrate diagnostic evaluation, newly available medical therapies, and strategies for implementation of early treatment for PAH patients.
  3. Distinguish between the differing ideologies of whether to treat or not to treat in combined pre and post capillary pulmonary hypertension.
  4. Summarize results of transition from parenteral to oral prostacyclin data and discuss implication for treatment considerations.
