Physician and Provider Wellness and the MEDtalks series have collaborated to bring you a live webinar helping clinicians to identify and define types of microaggressions, how they affect the wellness of clinical teams from physician to support staff, and their effect on patient outcomes. In addition, this series will share our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives and why they are important professionally and personally.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  • Recognize and define types of microaggressions
  • Identify how microaggressions affect patient outcomes
  • Identify how microaggressions affect the wellness of physicians, nurses and other ancillary staff members
  • Understand the difference between Diversity & Inclusion and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) and why it is important for healthcare professionals, professionally and personally
  • Consider what “equity” is in the context of the Advocate Aurora Health framework and ways to provide tangible programming/ opportunities for it
