Electrophysiology for Primary Care

This course is designed to encourage discussion and promote improved patient outcomes in all our practices. We have chosen topics and presenters to cover the latest in familiar topics as well as map out areas of frontier exploration. There will be interaction between Primary Care and Electrophysiology physicians and plenty of time for questions.

Target Audience

This course is intended for family practitioners, internists, cardiologists and hospitalists who diagnose, treat and manage patients with arrhythmia disorders. It will also be of interest to fellows, residents, PAs, MAs and other allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Interpret a basic ECG
  2. Recognize advantages of pharmaceutical vs. device treatment
  3. Outline basic arrhythmia diagnoses
  4. Recognize when to refer patients to EP specialists
