Forward23rd Annual Update in Cardiovascular Disease Symposium
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States. One person dies every 34 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease. This symposium will help the provider recognize and strategize ways to provide up to date best practices in evidence-based medicine related to current topics in the management of heart disease.
This conference is being held Live.
Target Audience
This course is intended for physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Evaluate the complex management of atrial fibrillation by exploring expert guideline recommendations
- Formulate an appropriate diagnostic workup and treatment plan for mitral regurgitation
- Recommend anticoagulant therapy utilizing recent changes regarding expert recommendations on combination therapies
- Examine indications, contraindications, and monitoring for SGLT2 inhibitors including heart failure reduced EF, heart failure preserved EF and renal failure
- Analyze the public health crisis of diabetic limb loss and examine the options in vascular interventional technology and techniques, both surgical and endovascular
- Compare the management of heart failure with reduced and preserved ejection fraction
- Evaluate and reflect upon strategies to enhance your relationship-building skills with patients
