Objectives:   At the conclusion of this activity the participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss how to screen for the diagnosis of hip dysplasia, Blount’s disease and scoliosis based on clinical exam
  2. Discuss the recommendation for when to refer a patient to the pediatric orthopedic surgeon  
  3. Recognize the presentation of a patient with slipped capital femoral epiphysis and learn how to manage the patient once the diagnosis is made
