This presentation will discuss the end user experience and usability of electronic health records and how these concepts impact patient safety.

  • Recognize the benefits of optimizing end user experience and usability of the electronic health record
  • Examine the challenges of suboptimal end user experience and usability of the electronic health record
  • Assess the current literature supporting best practices of end user experience and usability of the electronic health record
