Aurora South WI Region EMS Program Training
This EMS training will focus on the following objectives:
Review the anatomical structures and landmarks involved in a cricothyrotomy.
Review the indications for a cricothyrotomy.
Identify the potential complications associated with cricothyrotomy.
Hands-on practice with open surgical cricothyrotomy (bougie).
Explain team strategies for enhancing care coordination and communication to advance the management of patients with difficult airways and improve patient outcomes.
Target Audience
Paramedic level EMS services under the Aurora South WI EMS Office of Medical Direction.
