Overview:

Site based obstetric emergency simulations focused on identifying and executing nursing interventions during unanticipated events that may occur in perinatal units.

Overall Objectives:

1. Respond to obstetrical emergencies using best practices recommended by ACOG and AWHONN in alignment with Advocate Health policies and procedures.
2. Identify roles and responsibilities in obstetric emergencies.

Target Audience:  Perinatal RNs and other team members responding to or working in perinatal units.
