Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Examine sexual misconduct in the medical setting as it relates to the clinician-patient encounter
  • Analyze the definition of sexual harassment consistent with the Illinois Human Rights Act and Chicago Ordinance
  • Evaluate examples of conduct that constitutes unlawful sexual harassment
  • Assess relevant federal and State statutory provisions concerning sexual harassment, including remedies available to victims of sexual harassment
  • Formulate a list of responsibilities of employers in the prevention, investigation, and corrective measures of sexual harassment
